If you have an overdue fine you can eliminate it and help someone in the community all at the same time. Bring in non-perishable food items to donate to the Ministerial Alliance Christmas Food Drive and we’ll take $1.00 off per item for any fine you owe. This does not apply to books or DVDs that have been lost or damaged. We are also a drop off for all donations of food and new toys you wish to donate. All items must be in by December 18th.
Why is it important to read to very young children?
Developing literacy skills begins at birth and continues throughout the toddler and pre-school years. The best way to ensure a child has the skills necessary to learn to read is having someone read aloud to them.
So we have started the program 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten! It’s a fun, exciting, and free way to start your child racing to success! Any child age 0-5, who hasn’t started kindergarten, can participate. Stop by the library to sign up.
